Is the norm around the world. In the devolved Scotland,
we are operating with our hands tied.
We in Scotland, do not have a democratically elected government in
Westminster. Only independence gives us the power and levers to make
the changes in society we need.
If selected and elected as your MSP I pledge to fight for independence
for Scotland
Poverty Provision of Social Care
Child poverty is the pinnacle of everything that is wrong with
today’s society. In 2025, that children, in Scotland, a rich country is
nothing short of criminal.
The Scottish Government has done much to help reduce the levels of
poverty and reduce the effects of poverty but until Scotland has the
powers to make decisions for the benefit of all of the people of Scotland,
poverty will remain with us.
The demographic is changing with a growing
elderly population who want, expect and deserve the best care as close
to their home as possible.
The role of a Carer is significant, and demanding. It is also a hugely
rewarding role and should be regarded as such. All too often demand is
greater than provision. We need a system to provide high quality care
where and when needed.
